Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preventive maintenance activities for HVAC, mechanical, electrical, building automation, or general building maintenance construction
  • Assist in required tasks for capital projects
  • Participate in facility projects or emergency tasks as necessary during non-routine work hours (including company shutdowns and some weekends) in order to avoid disruption to production activities
  • Completes basic facilities maintenance tasks including, but not limited to: assembly, repair and/or moving of furniture, changing light bulbs, cleaning facility equipment, and grounds keeping
  • Act as a liaison between JSC employees and external vendors
  • Complete all activities while adhering to safety, environmental, health and legal regulations and guidelines
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal customers for any facility related issue
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Forklift, aerial and scrubber experience

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Vocational/Technical diploma or college preferred
  • Prior experience performing facility maintenance work strongly preferred
  • Ability to complete all tasks on time with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to an ever changing environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot quickly, efficiently, and accurately
  • Ability to communicate well with others
  • Ability to operate basic facility equipment such as a forklift, boom lift, scrubber and ladder
  • Working knowledge of Windows software – Excel & Word

While performing the essential duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, sharp objects and constant loud noise.  The employee is regularly required to: bend;  crawl; push/pull; pull hand over hand; perform repetitive motions; walk;  use their hands and fingers to touch and handle objects; reach above the shoulder; hear; see, including close vision; stand for long hours; stoop; kneel; sit; climb; climb stairs; balance; work at varying heights (boom lift or on the roof); work in an underground tunnel, work outside in varying weather conditions; be tolerant to different work environments; and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
